Boronia Aquarium lost a family member last week as a result of the heat wave.

I saw Murray last Saturday and, as always, was tempted say a loud "Hi Murray!" as I walked past, but didn;t for fear of looking silly. I always say
hello to my fish at home and get many strange looks from the members of my family!!
My condolences go out to the staff of Boronia Aquarium - you've lost a real character. |

I lost much loved fish too during the heatwave so I know how the staff at Boronia Aquarium are feeling.

Very sad to hear. I also lost one of my smaller Cod and was close to losing my big one in the outside pond and another one inside the house. Was a very nervous
week. While some people I told looked at me a bit funny, guess they dont realise that we have had some of these cod longer than they have had their pet dogs
and cats and as a result, you do become very attached.

I am really quite upset - i've said hello to him ever since I've been coming in the store - since just after the move from FTG, and the last few years my son has taken great delight in pressing his face up against the old tank and more recently, the new tank. I loved hearing the stories from Chris and the guys, Murry sure had his own personality. Here's hoping we see a mini-Murry when we next come in - that tank needs someone in it! JJ |

I liked seeing Murray when I went into the store too, but lets hope we don't see a new mini-Murray in the tank. Even the new larger tank was really too
small for a fish that big. I'd not like to see that done to another Cod.

I wish I had come over earlier to see murray in his new enclosure, instead of procrastinating it. It is never easy loosing a beloved pet like a fish. I too
lost two fish during that same week. The poor things don't stand a chance :(
But i hope you guys at boronia organise another cod to drop in the tank

Could you please give me some advise on how to keep my COD happy and healthy I have a problem started with Brown rust looking Aulge on a plant and spreading to
ornimant and gravel.
Tank is 6ft by 2ft and a month old Thanks Rediron |

R.I.P MURRAY I still remember Murray like it was yesterday. I cleaned his tank many times, poor old bugga. And i'l never forget watching little Wayne clean his tank lol. Good Times.. |
