Rainbow Shark VERY sick immediate help!

Hi guys,

I have a 4 year old Red-Finned/Rainbow Shark that has been unwell for almost a week now. He/she is usually very active and is visibly swimming around the tank most of the day. When feeding time comes around he would be first to the food. We have a 4ft tank with a couple catfish and mainly tetra species, not many fish for the size of the tank actually. After I noticed he was unwell I did a few water tests (PH was 6.5 its now 7, Ammonia 1, Nitrate 0), then changed the water...

One of my discus has managed to scratch himself on the driftwood. He seems fine at the moment and i put in another dose of prime ho help with the slime coat. Is there anything else i need to do/add to help it heal faster?

hi i have 2 oscars in a tank recently i have taking a very aggresive convict out as i think this is the cuz of what is wrong with my oscar their fins look very ratty and damaged im not sure what it is and if you could please tell me.

i have a relatively young flower horn who recently contracted some sort of ectoparasite (i suspect it may be ich, but it didnt look exactly the same, only similar), and i treated it with these tablets which kill ectoparasites. after about a couple of days of treatment, the parasites seemed to have been killed off her. but now she doesnt seem to be swimming straight. she would swim in a kind of spiral fashion often lieing on the bottom of the tank on her side.

hey all
our cichlids have been droppin off since saturday night.. one by one we have looked and another has died..

have checked ph levels several times, nitrite. nitrates all good..
they are getting the wobbles as if they were getting electric shocks and then just droppin to bottom of tank..

did a third water change have conditioned water etc etc.. we have had fish for years however have been out of them for long time now and have forgotten so much.. any...

Gold Severum with holes in its cheeks

Hi,

I have my large gold severum wich has 2 holes in its lower cheeks near its gills. It shakes its head from side to side in a eratic manner like it is in pain. It dose not like to eat at the moment. Any help would be appreciated.

Sick Red Devil

I have a 30cm male red devil. 2 days ago I noticed he was very sluggish and not eating. He has string like threads and white pealing around his forehead and eyes. No other fish in the tank have this problem. Hard to describe it as I've never had it before. Could anyone help to identify this and what should I use to treat this. I don't want to loose him as he is a fine specimen and have had him a long time.

worm like cysts on Cardinals

Ive researched this issue on the web and also with my local aquarium, but with little luck identifying the problem and therefore solving the issue. Sick Fish

Hey all,
I have been breeding blue lyre tail killifish and i added a jouvi to the breeding tank with its perents in a hope to make a trio of breeders but instead the next day i found that the jouvi can no longer float... It struggles to get off the bottom of the tank, like its swim bladder is not functioning...anyone know what going on or how to fix it?

Parasite?

This morning I noticed some 'parasites' looking like mosquito wrigglers but I doubt it is one because its covered with cover glass.
I saw three wriggling at the top so I just pipetted them out thus far.

I'll have to check when I return home tonight.
I couldnt see any sick fish because of the rocks, but they all seem good,

If they are parasites, what medication would be suitable for African fry (still in mouth) and bristlenoses/BN fry?

My male fan tail goldfish has white fungu on his head.

He still eats but its growing pretty quick.
He lives in a 6x2x2 with guppies, neons , clown loaches and heaps off catfish

Hey all.

I lost my catfish a bit over a week ago to some sort of fungal disease, and im looking at starting that tank back up again soon.
Its been completely drained and emptied of all substrate and what not.

But before i put anything back in there, i wanna give it a good clean/sterilize.
So im just wanting to know of the best way of going about this.
Whether it be super saturated salt wash, or a diluted bleach wash.

Hiya guys my first entry.
I have a sick adult female angel.
She hasnt eaten for 5 days.tried some adult brine shrimp a day ago she mouths them and spits them out,no good with tubaflex worms either.
Her mate (black lace male) is eating fine.
They have had 4 lots of eggs...the 3rd lot on slate I took and put in a 3 foot tank and have about 200 fry 1/2...

I havn't checked on my fish for about a week, and i went out there moments ago, and my catfish had mould-like lumps growing over his body!

The majority of them out be quite small, 5mm in diameter, but theres a larger one around the size of a 10c piece!

My wife and I were recently given a 30gal tank from a neighbor who had recently lost her husband (think the tank was his so too many memories). Very nice lady.
